GOD BELIEVES IN HIS PEOPLE

Vast numbers of Church-attending Christians tend not to see themselves as evangelical. This is mainly because they have developed the habit of thinking about evangelism in terms of denomination. If pressed in the matter, they might say: ‘But we are not evangelicals. The Evangelical Church is half way along the High Street’.

FORGIVENESS, RESURRECTED BODY, AND ETERNAL LIFE

The Church’s creeds, are statements of our faith; but the words used are not about us, but all about what God has done, and will do, through Jesus Christ.
Therefore, today, we must not concern ourselves with how good, or bad, we are at forgiveness; and, instead, stick to our subject, which is the wonderful manner in which God forgives.

CITIZENS OF HEAVEN

In various ways; taught by Jesus, and spelled out by St. Paul; the New Testament makes it clear that the Christian lives within two realms; the physical realm of the world; and the spiritual realm of the Kingdom of God.

IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST

‘In the name of Jesus Christ’, or ‘Through Jesus Christ, our Lord’ are words very often used by Christians, when ending a prayer.

How does Christ continue to minister to the world he loves? (John 3: 14-21 Colossians 3: 12-17 Romans 8: 1-5)

Christ’s earthly ministry was 'particular', in that it established the Kingdom of God on earth, in a new way. And it was 'limited', because; once the Kingdom had been established; other, more ongoing, spiritual ministries would be required.

JESUS - FRIEND OF SINNERS. (Matthew 11: 16-19 & John 8: 1-11).

'Friend of Sinners' is one of the 134 names and titles of Christ, in the Bible; but it is not a great one.

CHRIST THE WORKER OF MIRACLES.

A 'Miracle’ may be defined as: ‘an event that is unexplainable by natural laws, and, therefore, is held to be supernatural in origin, or 'an act of God’.

CHRIST THE TEACHER - 2009, Matt. 5: 13-20, John 6: 25-40

Christ’s teachings are the basis upon which the Christian Church is founded: and our own lives of faith are established.

THE HEALING CHRIST Some biblical aspects of the mind.

Although the gospels tell us that Jesus Christ performed large numbers of healing miracles: only a few of them are described in any detail. Those that are described: mostly relate to physical illnesses and disorders: such as leprosy, blindness, paralysis and so on.

‘WHAT ON EARTH IS THE CHURCH FOR?’

The Christian religion is not to be equated with the Christian Church: because there is a very real, essential-to-life difference between the two.
